Being Enlightened, Ivette Serrano

I got to know the ministry of brothers Watchman Nee and Witness Lee when I came to the United States to visit my mother. When I arrived I was able to contact the brothers, sisters and students of a Bible school. What they spoke about the Bible was so enlightening to me, I was made aware that I have a human spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23). I was able to really understand John 4:24. The way to worship God is in my spirit and that Christ is mingled with my spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17) Wow! This light has revolutionized my enjoyment of Christ. What a help this is for contacting God. This fully enlightened me and gave me a desire to have the same knowledge of the Bible as these brothers and sisters had. I wanted to attend the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA), the Bible school these students attended.

However my attending the FTTA took years since I have two daughters and many responsibilities, but I read books by both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and this gave me more hunger to read the Bible and see the plan of God for mankind. He did not just come to the world to save us from our sins but that we would truly be in His image and express His dominion.

Now, after my oldest daughter is married with her own family, and the youngest is in nursing school, I am finally in the FTTA receiving light from the word of God. I have seen how He became a man, and then became the life-giving Spirit to teach each one of us (1 Corinthians 15:45b). The fact that we will be His representation on earth has really taken away my concepts. I have seen that this representation has an issue--the building up of the Body of Christ. Praise the Lord for such enlightenment, such a vision, and such a ministry.
